Last month I wrote about the value of communities focusing on a few, highly impactful and meaningful objectives rather than a litany of “things we need to do” — the proverbial BHAG – Big Hairy Audacious Goal! So I was intrigued when I came across a blog post highlighting an exercise completed by a renown site selection consultant with an audience in Florida. The purpose of the exercise was to try and help regular citizens understand the process of site selection by having them “role play” through a hypothetical example. The results were fascinating and provide an interesting twist on the conclusions of last month’s blog. If you haven’t seen this article, it’s about a 5 minute read and well worth the time.
