One of the biggest challenges for EDO’s is telling their story in a succinct, clear and compelling way. Not the story of the community or region to prospects, but rather the story of the EDO to existing and potential funders — Local governments, public corporations and private companies.
One important component of the story is the manner in which you benchmark and convey success. Much has been researched and written on this topic, particularly as the country climbs out of the global recession and the very face and nature of economic development continues to evolve.
Recently, we came across a particularly creative method of telling the EDO’s story, captured in a video that conveys ROI and benchmarked success. This is only one of many unique examples, but a good one!
