“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
-Margaret Mead
The past few months have been super busy between working with our great clients and attending IEDC, ACCE, and Michigan Economic Developers Association summer conferences. Unfortunately, our blog postings have taken a bit of a back seat. However, we will be sure to rectify that and get back to our previous posting cycle. I offer a few items below to catch you up.
PRO TIP: As talk of a potential recession next year becomes more widespread, companies are likely to take a harder look at expenditures. However, recessions do not have to equate to less money for your organization. Take the time now to further elevate the importance of your organization’s unique value proposition with investors so that you remain a funding priority. As RDG was founded in 1995, we have managed numerous successful campaigns during recessionary periods and are always happy to talk about our experience if you are considering a fundraising campaign in 2023.
EXPANDING OUR TEAM: We are thrilled to be adding Amy Curtis to the RDG team. She brings a wealth of fundraising experience, including spending several years working with the Indy Chamber, which is where we first met her during a campaign about five years ago. Look for a write up on Amy soon.
NEW ENGAGEMENTS: This month we are pleased to be transitioning Greater Portland Inc and the Little Rock Regional Chamber to funding campaigns and are also excited to be starting a feasibility study for the Columbia Chamber in South Carolina.
ACCE: RDG is pleased to be a new Silver Sponsor of ACCE.
CONGRATS: To Christy Gillenwater on being selected to succeed Roy Williams in Oklahoma City. We have enjoyed working with Christy in her role at the Chattanooga Area Chamber and look forward to continuing to do so in her new role as President and CEO of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, another long-time RDG client. Read the press releases here and here.
